Queen & Slim

• (CHALLENGE)
  Queen & Slim tells the story of a young couple who go on the run after killing a police officer in self-defense. Like a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde, it is an exploration of the tension and triumphs as they run from the law, steeped in timely, thoughtful subtext of what it means to be black in America.
• (SOLUTION)
  To convey the relationship at the center of the film, creative served as an ode to black love in the face of unending oppression. It was a celebration of black womanhood (Queen’s name is Queen for a reason), of a couple learning to work together, and what kind of legacy they’ll leave on the world.
